New York City Celebrates
National Dance Week-NYC 2010
A 10-Day Festival of FREE Dance Classes
June 5-14, 2010
National Dance Week-NYC (www.ndw-nyc.org) celebrates the joy and diversity of dance in the NYC community with an exhilarating 10-day festival of FREE dance/fitness classes at noted studios in New York City.
Held as part of the nationwide National Dance Week, the festival will be held from June 5-14, 2010 at a variety of venues throughout New York City. The dates differ from the nationwide event to accommodate most New Yorkers.
Who Will Attend
From the past few years, hundreds of dance enthusiasts participated in events ranging from Latin, ballroom, tap, ballet, swing, hip-hop–even classes for kids and aerial acrobatics.
An Increasingly Popular Event
National Dance Week-NYC is produced by FitEngine Magazine and continues to grow in popularity. It is covered in several local media outlets and has been recognized by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Borough Presidents Adolfo Carrion, Jr. (Bronx), Marty Markowitz (Brooklyn) and C. Virginia Fields (Manhattan).
National Dance Week-NYC believes that dance contributes to the well-being of both the individuals who watch and perform it and to the community at-large. By offering FREE events to the public in different formats and dance styles, the festival brings immense value to the people of New York by encouraging them to be active, to be healthy and to celebrate life.
